Wi-Fi 6E was introduced in 2021, referred to as 802.11ax, and added to the 2.4 and 5 GHz, the 6 GHz spectrum with a max data rate of 9.6 Gbps. Wi-Fi 7 was introduced in 2024 and referred to as EHT (Extremely High Throughput) or 802.11be, up to 3x the speed of 6E, with data rates of 46.08 Gbps.
